Welcome to the South Carolina Water Resources Workshop site. The workshop is broken into two distinct areas. Day 1 will focus on programs and issues related to water resource needs. Day 2 will focus on Federal and State regulatory requirements.
The first day will consist of water resource experts from across the state to talk about critical water issues facing South Carolina. Our goal is threefold: 1) to provide information on Federal and State programs available to assist local communities in solving water resource related problems; 2) to learn about challenges and potential solutions associated with these programs; and 3) to provide a forum to discuss the future of water resources in South Carolina.
The second day will focus on Federal and State regulatory requirements for work in the waters and wetlands of South Carolina. The goal of Day 2 is help attendees become familiar with many aspects of working in and around wetlands, including wetlands identification, permit applications, and how to avoid violations.
Please join us for one or both days of the South Carolina Water Resources Workshop. We need your participation to make this event a success. Registration is required and limited to 150 on Day 1 and 250 on Day 2. There is no fee to attend.
Together, we will seek environmentally sustainable ways to conserve, protect, develop and manage water resources for the benefit of South Carolina and the Nation.
