Georgetown Harbor Dredging 2026

The Dredge Brunswick, operated by Southern Dredging Co., removes sediment from Georgetown Harbor, Aug. 12, 2026, to maintain navigable waterways. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, awarded a $3.587 million contract to restore the Bypass and Steel Mill channels to their authorized 12-foot depth, removing underwater hazards and ensuring safe passage for commercial and recreational boaters.
