The Charleston District hosted the Second Annual Sweetgrass Pulling Day at the St. Stephen Powerhouse to allow local basket makers to pull naturally-growing sweetgrass to weave their baskets. Among those were the Horlbacks, who were pulling grass for the first time, even though they have been weaving for years.
