Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. was sworn into the Office of Mayor of Charleston in 1975 and has changed the city in those 40 years. In that time, the Charleston District has worked with him on several very visible projects in the Charleston area and he has been crucial to the success of the Corps here.
