Tina Hadden became the chief of the Regulatory Division on the Charleston District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in October 2003. In her current position, she is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Corps Regulatory program in the state of SC.
Before assuming her current position, Hadden was the Chief of Permits Evaluation Branch in the Charleston District, Regulatory Division. Prior to that, she was a Senior Project Manager in the Regulatory Division. At that time the Regulatory Division was organized by function (i.e. Permits Evaluation Branch and Enforcement Branch). One of Hadden’s first tasks as the Regulatory Division Chief was to reorganize the division into a cradle-to-grave watershed organization. During her 24 years with the Charleston District, Hadden has spent the majority in the Regulatory program. She began her career with the Corps as the first female engineer in the Charleston District under the Engineer Intern Program where she worked in all aspects of the Charleston District’s programs; however, at the conclusion of the two year program she elected to make her career in the regulatory program.
