Charleston District Hosting Charleston Harbor Post 45 Press Conference

What:  The Charleston District will be holding a press conference to provide an update on the current state of the Charleston Harbor Post 45 feasibility study. All media members are encouraged to attend.

When: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11 a.m.

Where: Charleston Marriott, Blue Topaz Room, 170 Lockwood Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29403

Why: This press conference will serve to update all in attendance about where the Charleston Harbor Post 45 feasibility study stands and the direction it is heading in the future. June 20th marked the anniversary of the signing of the Feasibility Cost-Sharing Agreement between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District and the South Carolina State Ports Authority which kicked off the feasibility phase for the Charleston Harbor Post 45 study. Much has been accomplished in this short timeframe and many cost- and time-saving measures have been taken to ensure this process is done as quickly and efficiently as possible while still abiding by all federal regulations.
