U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Meeting on Navy Base Intermodal Container Transfer Facility

Who: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District

What: The Charleston District and Palmetto Railways will be holding a public scoping meeting to receive comments on the proposed Navy Base Intermodal Container Transfer Facility.

When: Thursday, November 14. An informal open house will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where attendees can review project information and have individual discussion with the project team. The formal meeting to receive comments begins at 7:00 p.m. Media interviews will be held at 6:30 p.m.   

Where: Chicora School of Communications, 3795 Spruill Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405

Why: The Charleston District will be holding a public scoping meeting for the proposed Navy Base Intermodal Container Transfer Facility, as part of the National Environmental Policy Act requirements for a proposed project. The District has determined that an environmental impact statement will be required for the proposed project and will be receiving comments at this meeting. Members of the public are encouraged to attend in order to provide comments on the proposed project.
