If you are a small business and interested getting in the door to work with the federal government, you will not want to miss this upcoming event. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District will be hosting a half day, in-person event called the 2023 SAC Stakeholder Partnering Forum / Industry Day on March 1, from 1:30 – 4:30PM EST at the Citadel Alumni Center in Charleston.
This event will be an opportunity to provide outreach to our industry partners who work in the fields of architecture and engineering, general construction and renovation, ditching, diking and dredging, facilities investment and roofing. According to Tonya Willis, Small Business Programs chief, this event will enhance competition, build relationships, and facilitate a better understanding of the district’s mission requirements and contracting capabilities.
“My job is to be their first contact and get them in the door with the Corps,” she said.
There will be briefings from Charleston District’s leadership to provide information on upcoming business opportunities within the district coupled with a two-way question and answer session to generate conversation regarding how we procure and what can be done to better support the government and our contractor partners. In addition, vendors may have time to speak with District program managers one-on-one, as time permits.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet prime contractors interested in small businesses, small businesses interested in meeting other small and large businesses and the opportunity to learn more about the Charleston District and working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
RSVP for this event is required for all attendees and can be sent via email to Tonya Willis, Charleston District Chief of Small Business Programs at tonya.d.willis@usace.army.mil.
