The existing structure requiring after-the-fact authorization consists of a 6.3’ X 935’ walkway leading to a 20’ x 20’ fixed pierhead with a 4’ x 25’ ramp leading east to a 10’ x 60’ floating dock and 4.5’ x 6.5’ kayak launch. The proposed modification to this structure consists of constructing additional floating docks attached to the aforementioned existing community dock. In detail the applicant is proposing to authorize the aforementioned existing structures and additional structures consisting of a 10’ x 30’ floating dock connected to the existing 10’ x 60’ floating dock and adding a 4’ x 25’ ramp leading southwest to an 8’ x 100’ floating dock then a 4’ x 25’ ramp leading to an 8’ x 260’ floating dock. Additionally, the kayak launch would be relocated to the eastern end of the proposed 10’ x 30’ dock. The applicant has proposed no mitigation to be required for the project. The project purpose is to provide additional dockage for the residents of Sewee Preserve.
