In Conway, cross drains (relief bridges) are proposed at US Highway 501 Bypass, US Highway 501 Business, and SC 905 to increase floodplain conveyance where roadway embankments restrict flow. These improvements reduce upstream flood stages and decrease flooding impacts to nearby structures and critical transportation routes.

In Socastee, removal is proposed for two existing weirs within Socastee Creek which currently restrict channel conveyance. Removal of the weirs improves hydraulic capacity and reduces flood stages that impact nearby residential structures.
